ทำเลที่ตั้ง ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ เป็นหมู่เกาะอยู่ในมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิกฝั่งตะวันตก ตั้งอยู่ระหว่างละติจูดที่ 4 องศา 40 ลิปดาเหนือ กับ 21 องศา 10 ลิปดาเหนือ และลองจิจูดที่ 116 องศา 40 ลิปดาตะวันออก กับ 126 องศา 34 ลิปดาตะวันออก บนเขตวงแหวนแห่งไฟ (Pacific Ring of Fire) ซึ่งเป็นบริเวณในมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิกที่เกิดแผ่นดินไหวและภูเขาระเบิดบ่อยครั้ง ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ ประกอบด้วยเกาะและหมู่เกาะหลัก ๆ 3 กลุ่ม คือ
